Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism
The Saudi Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism is a health scientific society in the field of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism in adults and children, its scope of services includes all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, established under the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties On 8/9/1430 corresponding to 29/8/2009, and its headquarters is in Riyadh.
Objectives
The Saudi Society of Endocrine and Metabolic aims to achieve the following goals:
-Developing the professional scientific thought in the field of the Society specialization and developing the scientific and professional performance of the Society members.
-Providing the opportunity for specialists in the areas of endocrinology and metabolism to contribute to the movement of scientific and professional progress in these areas.
-Facilitating the exchange of scientific production, scientific ideas, and professional experiences in the field of the Society interests between the concerned institutions and Commissions inside and outside the Kingdom.
-Providing the necessary advice and suggestions to the health and educational authorities and the relevant government agencies regarding endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.
-Providing advice and carrying out the necessary studies to raise the level of performance in the areas of interest of the Society in the various institutions and Commissions.
-Contribute to setting standards for practicing the profession in the specialty of the Society and participate in monitoring and maintaining its performance.
-Contribute to raising the level of health awareness among the public in the field of specialization of the Society.
-Organizing continuing medical education programs and seminars and periodic scientific meetings for those who specialize in endocrinology and metabolism.
To be the leading scientific and national reference for the Saudi Endocrinology and Metabolism Society in promoting community health care and developing health service providers for endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
